Mobile Location Data

StreetMetrics’ mobile location data is aggregated from a variety of sources, including first-party data from partner-owned and operated apps, location SDKs, and mobile advertising SDKs. This diversity of sources allows StreetMetrics to leverage the advantages of each while mitigating the limitations created by having a single provider. For example, companies with only a single-sourced data supply will be limited to the quality and scale of that single supply. By having multiple providers, we can extract the best data from each source to yield a combined, robust supply of top-quality location data. We continuously examine new potential providers in an ongoing effort to increase the size, quality and confidence of our mobile location data supply.

About Our Data

All of our data has been filtered, cleansed, and integrated into a single, high quality, contextualized supply to deliver a dataset that is both accurate and actionable.

Privacy

StreetMetrics never collects personally identifiable information (PII). All mobile location data we collect is from users who have opted-in to location services, and all data is fully anonymized. It is explicitly stated that StreetMetrics only partners with data suppliers who ensure that users’ opt-outs are respected and that a device’s location is never inferred or reported if the user has not given permission. By partnering with reputable companies who follow these rules, we enable our customers to analyze the data provided without infringing on the rights of any person. All data we collect is CCPA/GDPR compliant.
